Today, 14th of July, 2025 advanced notice of a hosepipe ban was issued by Yorkshire Water and Thames Water along with some clarification for what it means for their customers.
While consumers and businesses will be prohibited from using hosepipes to water plants and lawns, businesses who are using hosepipes to clean surfaces such as windows, paths, patios, roofs, upvc facias and gutters are unaffected by the ban.
GutterPRO operators are mindful of wasting water, and use low pressure, minibore hoses to reduce the amount of water used on gutter and fascia cleans. We only use around 3 litres of water during the clearing of gutters to run through the machine after the clearing has been completed.
